Hanging Pictures

I am moving to Bkk and have a collection of art which I want to bring with me. There are several large mixed media pictures which are currently hung on stretchers (not framed and without glass).

A couple of questions?

Shipping: Is it better to have the stretchers removed and roll them in tubes then stretch them again in Bkk?

Hanging: Our house has A/C but it won't be on 24/7. What is the best way to show the pictures? What I am asking is will the climate damage them? And if so what can I do to preserve them. Is strechers alone ok or should they be under glass?

And finally can anyone recommend a decent place to have them framed/re-stretched?

It is not an option not to bring them or keep them in storage.

Thanks

I have a very large oil painting (the size of a queen size bed) that I recently had to move. One person suggested that I remove it from the stretchers and roll it up for shipping. But I thought that might somehow crack the oil (the painting is 30-40 years old), and I didn't want that, because the painting is valuable. In the end, I had the moving company crate it. The moving cost was a function of weight, not size, so it wasn't a big deal. I think the crating cost was about $125 US.

I'm not sure about preservation once you're in a humid climate. Maybe you should look into a dehumidifier?
