No DC I am not the one for TEOTWAWKI but I just want to do it RIGHT the first time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, and there's a lot of experience here of doing it less-than-right.

If I was doing it again I would have gone down a different route knowing what I know now.

I specified a 600 unit/month install (20 units/day). Based on Crossy and my experience of panels producing 1 unit/day/panel. And as the inverters will work up to 6 in parallel, should be abl

The panels and batteries are easy to mix and match. The inverters not so much.

  • Is there not a limit on topic size?

And as the inverters will work up to 6 in parallel, should be able to upgrade if required.

That was one for the email as well (If understand your post correctly).

I want to be able (not mind paying of course) to have a system that is Brand In-depended easily up-gradable (so going from 10kW Battery to 15kW or from x Solar Panels to xx Panels)

We don't care about the specifics (panels in series or ... or the inverters doing A and B) because I only have basic knowledge about it (but learn from you guys),

I just expect the people who install my Solar Panels (and WE PAY BIG MONEY TO) that they know their sh...t and don't blow up our house in the process of  installing it or electrocuting my wife or myself. (But maybe that is too much to ask)

The panels and batteries are easy to mix and match.

The inverters not so much.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh wow and that is you saying

What about (excuse me saying) mere mortals ????

You absolutely know your stuff, I don't even know which dial to turn to when checking the charge on a normal battery

I think a "lessons I have learned" thread might be in order.

Note on cables from a field location many metres from the house.

Aluminium cables don't go walking off site in the middle of the night but copper ones do.

The longer the copper wires, the more costly they are to replace.

Lessons I learned.

1. How to use a 4" cutter on steel box.

2. How to arc weld steel box.

3. How to crimp MC4 connectors (fold 2.5mm wire to 4x thickness).
