He's not on the run. Today my friend, he is in jail, tomorrow?? One never knows, methinks he will do a runner while out on a medical or some other reason. Unless he gets bail, how could he be "out on a medical" [sic]? Prisoners are not allowed out to see their doctor, they are treated at the prison's hospital if the need medical attention or they are escorted elsewhere, in shackles, by prison staff. In the circumstances that are being discussed here, international law prevents countries from revoking a national's citizenship if it would leave them stateless. Doesn't matter. If they took it and wouldn't let him in when he tries what's the rest of the world gonna do? Impose sanctions? Also, I'm pretty sure he would buy citizenship from another country in a heartbeat! Alternatively they could just do away with statue of limitation expiring on certain crimes/people who flee the country which would essentially ban him for life well!
GinBoy2
For God's sake guys give this a rest. Unless you're fresh off the boat we all know/knew from the moment this happened that laws and consequences don't apply to this strata of Thai society. He'll continue to live in plain sight luxury. There will be the occasional outburst of official outrage, but nothing will ever happen until all the statutes of limitations have expired, then some expression of official outrage and a sigh of relief that it's all over. Welcome to Thailand

I suppose they could impose sanctions if they wanted to but it's not what other countries would do it's the effect of what international law repercusions would be on Thailand. No country can make its own citizens stateless and no country would dare risk the consequences of the international outcry that would follow. There lies the weak link, with the kind of mon ey and connections he has, it would be an easy task to overcome the 'prison staff' who were paid a princely sum to 'be caught off guard' while he is whisked away, on a plane and out of the country. There are ailments the Prison Medical staff can't take care of.......................This is not fantasy, it can happen.

I just checked the Subject: I was referring to a comment made about Ferrari Joe, not Red Bull young man............Joe is in jail, rich and has a lot of police friends in high places - it could happen as I described. and yes, I liked your comment because I do have a wild imagination, thats what got me where I am today. Nuff said. Peace
