Directions To Satahip Naval Hospital

If coming from Pattaya, drive down Sukhumvit Road through Sattahip, and turn right at the Utapao airport traffic lights. The entrance to Queen Sirikit hospital is about 500m down that road on the left hand side.

Hope you make it OK.

Please take care.

Are you able to drive, or can you get access to transport?

Don't be confused Queen Sirikit is not the navy hospital per se even though it has military doctors.

The RTN hospital is right at the entrance to th RTN base which instead of veering left on Sukhumvit to follow the road to Autapao you proceed straight ahead through the traffic lights towards Satahip township, at the round-about continue straight towards the sea. You have too follow the road because you cannot turn left so as you turn right there is the RTN base and on the right is the RTN hospital.

found the queen sinkit, spent most of the day there getting examined and xrayed, I think I'll be glowing in the dark, not a bad place, the young doc I saw was very atentive and thorough, have to go back Tuesday, he thinks all I have is a prostate gland infection but would like a consultant to take a closer look, must say I'm very relieved that he didn't find anything really nasty (who says Thais have small hands and fingers oooch) thanks again guys for the help and encouragement, men tend to leave things to where prevention becomes nessesity, unfortunately I am one of those....1000baht well spent.

My best possible advice is to get an appointment with Dr Viroj at Bumrungrad Bangkok. He's just about the best in Thailand in this field, speaks perfect Englsih, and I trust him completely.

Whatever you decide to do, good luck.

Been thinking of you all day - glad to hear things not so bad. I, too, know Dr. Viroj Chodchoy at Bumrungrad - as Mobi says a good man. Fellowship in General Urology from the UK. Go to him if you don't like the consultant on Tuesday.

Good luck.

I have written this guy's name down. Not a problem with the old waterworks yet but you never know.

This thread would be as good a place as any to post names of good specialists. A positive medical thread would make a nice change.

DR Chorthip -Diabetic specialist

Dr Sureerat - Heart Specialist.

Both the above are at Bumrungrad, and I recommend them highly. Both of them take a great personal interest in every case, and are happy to discuss any problems you may have by phone, or email, at no charge. They are lovely, caring, professional ladies. One was even concerned about me driving back to Pattaya in the dark, because she said the road is so dangerous!!

If you go to the hospital website, you can view the details of every specialist working there.
