Now it's been revealed that he had a Xiaomi SU7 shipped to Chicago. He has been driving it for the last six months and says he "doesn't want to give it up".

Maybe he likes driving a sedan... something his company do not offer !

No need to register to read.   CEO won't even drive his own crap ... wake up people.

"Ford CEO Loves Daily Driving an Electric Sedan from a Chinese Competitor

Ford CEO Jim Farley admitted he has been driving a Xiaomi SU7 for six months and said he "doesn't want to give it up."

Besides Tesla, has any US auto maker, (or any) done this ....

... "The Xiaomi SU7 was met with such popular demand in China that it reportedly sold out of its entire 2024 production run on the first day. In fact, Xiaomi is said to have sold 100,000 units before the first model was even delivered."

CN always accused of stealing tech.   What do think Ford R&D are going to do with that Xiaomi.   Well, might have to order another one, if CEO doesn't give it up.

Khun, you have a knack for such things. Are you able to work out how many “bales of hay “ is required to “power” this horse 100 kms as opposed to the Xiaomi? The cost savings of the Xiaomi must be off the charts.

Dark Horse is 13lt/100km according tothe windscreen sticker.

so bout Bt.450 per 100.

Our MG ZS BEV cost per 100 kms...

... ฿0 @ home w/excess solar

... ฿52 @ home w/PEA

... ฿100 @ CS (฿8/kWh) when O&A

Just takes a little bit longer, ~4 secs to get to 90 kph, with a lot more room & comfort during the journey.

Work has given me a Ranger Raptor to drive.

Cost  to fill (Benzine 95) is Bt3400.

Range is 500km per tank, bit more if I dont give it the berries in Baja mode !

Our ICE version of ZS cost about ฿1600 to fill up (91), and 600 kms range (14kpL).  About ฿50k a year for our average 20k kms a year :w00t:

That alone was reason enough to go BEV.  Added performance was a nice plus.

There is a 25 Oct 2024 Bangkok Post news article titled as below reflecting some pretty bad Thailand car production numbers (ICEV and EV) for domestic and export.  Down...down....down.....   Google below to find article:
