snoop1130
Thailand’s opposition Pheu Thai party is to grill the government in parliament, alleging a cover-up over the African Swine Fever (ASF) outbreak in Thailand, which has reportedly spread to 56 provinces since last March, resulting in the cull of almost 160,000 pigs. The cabinet approved a 574 million baht budget today (Tuesday) to be used to compensate more than 4,900 pig farmers for the cull, carried out between March 23rd and October 15th 2021. Many more pigs, including breeders, have died naturally from the disease. Popular Post TallGuyJohninBKK
From yesterday: https://coconuts.co/bangkok/news/thailand-denies-hiding-african-swine-flu-as-pork-prices-skyrocket/ Thailand denies hiding African swine flu as pork prices skyrocket ... "Government spokesperson Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana yesterday rejected opposition claims that the disease – harmless to humans but fatal to pigs – is being kept secret after the pork supply fell by nearly a third. ... Some livestock and veterinary experts have speculated that the African swine flu is responsible for the pork supply issues. However, agricultural authorities last week repeatedly denied swine flu was to blame, saying many pigs were killed by another disease, porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome." 1 1

kickstart
Meanwhile, government spokesman Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana has denied the rumors of an outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) in the Kingdom. He added that Thai authorities must report any ASF cases to the World Organisation for Animal Health and would never hide such an outbreak from the world. Nevertheless, he said the Department of Livestock Development is closely monitoring any suspected cases and preparing measures to prevent the disease from entering the country. From yesterdays TVS, now they are say after blood tests it is here in Thailand, like I said yesterday the Thai DLD ,department of livestock development has been dragging it feet about this for a good few months now, say what you like it is ASF to blame for pork price increas they say a viral or reproduction disease is the cause ,a poor excuse for they bad management ,yet again . The yet again bit, is to do with the Lumpy skin disease in cattle ,been endemic in our area we have had it ,it has only been in the past month that a vaccine proper roll out has started ,this disease has been about sice last March ,what they do not know is that all cattle will need vaccinating over the next 2-3 years to contain the disease ,odds of that happening ,very slim ,this LSD is here for a long time.
