Prisons: 12 ▶︎ Recoveries: 3,350 Wednesday’s cases bring the total number of COVID-19 infections in Thailand to 2,292,290 with 21,872 deaths. The news comes as the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) will sell 3.5 million antigen test kits at their cost price of 35 baht per kit. Strange they told her to go home for 2 days, now they put in a quarantine hotel for 10 days. Why not just let her stay at home? Phuket 151 from abroad seems high. Exactly and they are only being delivered at 1 million a week. They said yesterday that they are not going to be doing mass PCR testing anymore due to cost and instead relying on ATK (great for keeping official count down). An expert group created by the World Health Organization to assess the performance of Covid-19 vaccines said simply providing fresh jabs of existing Covid vaccines as new strains of the virus emerge was not the best way to fight the pandemic. Agreed, as we can see from real world studies and statistics, Pfizer, Moderna, AZ etc have provided good protection from serious illness, admission to ICU and death from covid. Out of 66,286 patients , 37,313 are in hospital. Health officials on Wednesday (Jan 12) reported 89 new COVID-19 cases, 66 of which were found in Hua Hin. Elsewhere in the province, 8 cases were found in Pranburi, 7 cases in Sam Roi Yot, 1 case in Kuiburi, zero cases in Thap Sakae, 4 cases in Bang Saphan, zero cases in Bang Saphan Noi, and 1 case in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan. No new deaths were reported today.
