New to the group, Thailand Rookie (only 3 years on/off)... Question on Covid Extension...

Hello to the group... here is my question...

I arrived on the Test/Go Plan on December 16th from the US.

I received a 30 day extension taking me to February 13th.

I am ready conflicting reports... Can I apply for a 60 day Covid Visa Extension until January 25th. From what I understand it will be added to my existing date of Feb 13th bringing me to mid April.

I'm suppose to get married February 20th so the extension would help... lol

Thanks in Advance

Thanks to all and a little extra to Dr Jack for the form... I had to renew my US passport and received an email today saying I should have it next week...

I go to the immigration office in Nakon Phanom... so far they have been good over the few years I've been coming...

Last time I was there in late December I asked for a Covid Visa then and they said no giving me the normal 30 day extension.

After talking to a few friends and Nico at assistvisathailand.com in Chiang Mai who has been very helpful and said I have to have a regular extension first and then can get a covid visa...

This is standard. For any entry on tourist visa or visa exempt you will be made to obtain standard 30 day extension PRIOR to being able to apply for a covid extension.

Your dates work out well.

Your 30 day extension expires Feb 13.

That means you can apply for your covid extension now and the 60 days will commence from Feb 13.

Best to do that prior to Jan 25.

Thanks Jack... I plan on going next week when I get my new passport

Keep in mind that you can have the stamps placed into your existing pp.

Only mention in case there is hold up with new passport.

You have all of next week.

I've read that some offices start the 60 days from the issuing of the covid extension, rather than adding to existing date. I wonder if this has been standardised yet or if it still depends on the office attended.

It depends upon the office.
