I was arrested for not wearing a mask riding a motorbike in Phuket. Stay away!!

If you had worn a mask then they wouldn't have known who it was and you would have got away.

Check ur status abou ur tests..vaccinaion,,ur visa. etc etc..If they wan to do that the brown enwelope doesnt help at all..I experied a german guy in surin wen to he IMM in Kap choeng.His gf have throuw him out.They said good luck..gave im 7 days to leave.He wanted to reneaw his wisa.If he police think u lie..IMM 3 next

I don't know if it is funny or sad when people believe such a sentence.

Maybe he was fined - which I think is fair enough.

And maybe he didn't want to get fined and made lots of trouble. And maybe that behavior motivated someone to arrest him - which I also think is fair enough.

Over the years I had over hundred encounters with the police when they stopped me for not riding on the left lane. It was always friendly. Don't pi@$ them off and all will be fine.

May be true, was on the news in the last couple days

Probably an over zealous cop who had to show his bosses that he doesn't slack on the job and got someone arrested... as there isn't a direct order to wear a mask...

Right. He was warned or fined. The only way he'd have been arrested is if he was obnoxious, uncooperative or aggressive. 

no, wearing mask on motorbike is not compulsory. It's outright dangerous to do so, drivers lost their lives when mask moved into their eyes, blinding them.

You were stopped for speeding, not wearing helmet, braking road rules, but not for mask.
