JamesH Posted January 22, 2022 Share Posted January 22, 2022 When a next of kin applies for a Consular "Letter of Release" before Thai local authorities will release a body for cremation, does the application need to contain the Death Certificate as well as proof of relationship i.e Marriage Certificate? Yes that’s right. In order to obtain the Consular Letter, the next of kin must provide proof they are related to the person that die and inform the embassy in writing who they have requested to make the arrangements.
