Popular Post webfact
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha begins a visit to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, to strengthen bilateral relations with one of the Middle East’s most important players, according to a high level source at Government House. The two-day visit will mark a new milestone in Thai-Saudi relations, which were established in 1957, as both countries have agreed to move forward in their bilateral relationship. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai visited Saudi Arabia in January 2020, marking the first visit by a Thai foreign minister in 30 years. The aim was to normalise the long stalled relationship. Absolutely. It also has no mention of the fact that there are still no direct flights between the 2 countries and Saudi's without special permission still aren't allowed to travel to Thailand, or face big problems if immigration see a Thai stamp in their passport upon returning.

Very telling that the article fails to mention why diplomatic ties between Thailand and Saudi ended in the first place. He richly deserves exile. And it does make sense for him to court a relationship with the Saudis. One despot relating with another. Prayuth and MBS. Two very pathetic men.

Thai-born janitor ..................... stole $20 million worth of precious gems in 1989 from the home of a Saudi prince, triggering a feud between the countries dubbed the "Blue Diamond Affair".
