A university testing body is trending on Thai Twitter on Thursday following the leak of student’s personal information on the dark web.

 

Students used the hashtag #แบนทปอ (banTCAS) to highlight their frustrations with the Thai University Central Admission System (TCAS) and their seeming incompetence.

 

The TCAS is a university admissions system through which Thai students must apply to enter state universities. 23,000 Thai students’ data which include names, national identification numbers, were put up for sale on a dark web marketplace.
