Popular Post snoop1130
PHUKET, Feb 4 (TNA) – The number of COVID-infected foreign tourists is rising in Phuket in proportion to more arrivals and some visitors failed to undergo RT-PCR tests before their flights to the island province. Phuket deputy governor Pichet Panawong said that from Nov 1, 2021, to Feb 1, 2022, there were 4,369 COVID-19 cases among visitors who entered Phuket through Test & Go and Sandbox schemes. New cases rose from Dec 13 because some visitors had not passed the Thailand Pass registration process or had not undergone RT-PCR tests. Popular Post FalangKino
Every single person they allow into the country is vetted, as well as double jabbed. This is exactly what they want. Every single one that tests positive will be forced to undergo a 10 day minimum stay in a hospital which costs around 10,000 baht a day. This is also not including the government approved hotels they had to stay in before, as well as the tests that had to be paid for as well. This is just another racket to extort foreigners that visit this country. Edited February 4, 2022 by FalangKino 36

Popular Post mommysboy
I don't think it's possible to open up the economy and borders without accepting a huge surge in Omicron cases. Thailand has consistently been behind the curve in responding to new developments. It's their way I guess. Omicron is far less dangerous particularly to the vaccinated. 2

We're not stopping testing next week. We dropped all restrictions a couple of days ago in Denmark, but quickest centers are still open until March 6. PCR tests will still continue and have a daily capacity of 200.000 tests. People are recommended to use home tests and only use PCR tests if having symptoms or if quickest is positive. Still monitoring the situation even if we opened up Example. Today's statistic. 40.000 positive from 164.000 tests, so even if we dropped all restrictions we still tests a whole lot more than most of the world per million population. Experts are however discussing if it's worth spending so much money on testing. We spent more than 20 billion danish kroner on testing which is approx 100 billion baht. So far during the pandemic we used 61 million PCR tests and 59 million quick tests in a 5.8 million population, so each danish person has in average been tested 20 times during the pandemic. Worth it? No idea, but i know it's nice we dropped all the restrictions here. Thailand will eventually come to the same conclusion that it is possible to open up with no restrictions, but who knows when that will happen. 13

These problems are something beyond Phuket’s authority to deal with and help is needed from the CCSA’s operations centre.” I wonder if the authorities can double check the validity of a PCR certificate. i.e. IF someone tests positive can the MoPH official contact the issuing hospital / clinic noted on the PCR result and ask them if the result is valid ? ... I suspect some countries with strong individual rights and protection of information may not release information confirming negative or positive tests which makes things very easy for the cheats. 3

Maybe they can start checking the CT values. They did that at the European championships in handball last month and players tested positive, that had high CT values were allowed to play, since a high CT value meant lower virus levels. Explained here in another article and seems like it's not bullet proof, but might be viable. https://www.science.org/content/article/one-number-could-help-reveal-how-infectious-covid-19-patient-should-test-results
Popular Post smedly
I would get a posting ban if I said what I wanted to say about this and meanwhile Two sources have said Hong Kong health authorities have determined China’s Sinovac vaccine is of no use against the Delta and Omicron variants, thus toughening control measures to minimise any chances of infection. About 40% of the inoculated population chose Sinovac. 5
Popular Post smedly
just posting what I am reading, people need to look at the sources but is a good heads up to investigate further Medical experts in Hong Kong have warned of the efficacy rate of the Sinovac vaccine against the Omicron variant, with govt public health advisor Yuen Kwok-yung saying that it didn’t provide sufficient antibodies to neutralise the Omicron variant.

No idea where she caught it, assume her school, no attempt at test and trace of contacts. She just isolated at home, but there was nothing to stop her going out and about other than her own responsibility. We only discovered she had it by accident because I gave her a rapid test so that we could prove she was Covid free for her gym club. Otherwise she would have been roaming around infecting others
