Skiwear/cold Weather Gear. Are There Any Outlet Shops That You Know Of?

Does anyone know of anywhere that cheap (less than European) cold weather gear is sold. We went to Decathlon in Bangna which was fine for salopettes for the girls, however there weren't any jackets or adult sizes. We traipeds over on a wasted journey to MBK where we were directed to Siam discovery centre and Northface. While the stuff they had for sale was gorgeous and obviously excellent quality it was the same prices as UK. I think that a lot of the stuff is manufactured here in Thailand, so where are the outlet/seconds shops. Any ideas?

Some shops that have good connections with factories have original winter clothing but you really have to look around for it.A few years ago I was dealing with alot of factories in Thailand and it was diifficult to get the clothing you are talking about without good connections.

Saying that today I saw a couple of Spyder jackets at the markets they sell in E.U for about 200euro I could have got them for 2500b.MBK has a few shops I know about you have to go down the end where all the clothing stalls are I think its the 4th floor but I haven`t been there for a while so I have forgot(look for a stall called First House they usually have alot of Columbia,Phonix and sometimes Oneill winter jackets)

If you go to the Platunam centre opposite Amari hotel in Pratunam the basement floor there is a shop called Squise Me they have alot of stock from the factories also alot of Paul Smith and Energy but not all of its original, and at Big C opposite Central World and the back of the shopping centre there is a factory outlet shop though again I haven`t been there for a while so I dont know what stock they have.

Really it takes alot of time to find these shops and there are so many copies around so as you walking around MBK or the Pratunam markets take your time and have a good look around also ask the people in the stalls that sell winter gear if they have the brand name jackets you are looking for as sometimes they dont like to show it.

Good luck

Same thing with surf fashion. Manufactured in Thailand and in "Factory Outlets" 20% more expensive than in Tokyo or Sydney.

MBK 3rd floor, there's a garment district with numbered rows and aisles back of the large area dedicated to T-shirts and tourist nicknacks. One of the shops has supposed North Face, Columbia and other branded winter gear, which is very good quality. They say it's "made in Thailand for export." Very reasonable prices and I can vouch for the fact that the North Face jacket I bought there has gotten me nicely through my 2 AM bike ride home from work in the depths of a northern European winter.
