Thai - Cambodia Conflict Authorities Urge Fishing Boats to Avoid Cambodian Waters
Picture courtesy of Amarin. Authorities have issued an urgent warning to all fishing vessels operating in coastal areas near the disputed boundary. The directive, released by the Royal Thai Maritime Enforcement Command Centre (Thai-MECC), advises extreme caution and avoidance of Cambodian waters due to the current unstable situation. The announcement was circulated by the Thai Fisheries Association on 25 July and outlines a series of safety protocols for Thai fishermen. The alert comes in the wake of continued military confrontations on land between Thailand and Cambodia, raising concerns of potential maritime spillover. According to the notice, Thai fishing vessels are urged to: 1. Avoid sailing near the maritime boundary between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Cambodia during this period of unrest. 2. Exercise heightened vigilance, especially when operating in zones close to the border. 3. Immediately report any sightings of Cambodian naval vessels or armed maritime patrols to authorities. Fishermen who encounter Cambodian military ships are instructed to contact either the Thai-MECC operations centre or the Royal Thai Navy. The alert underscores the seriousness of the situation, with officials describing the maritime climate as “abnormal and potentially dangerous.” While no direct confrontations have yet been reported at sea, the proximity of naval forces from both sides has prompted increased surveillance and readiness. Crime Udon Thani Man Arrested for Manufacturing and Selling Illegal Gun Barrels Online
Picture courtesy of Matichon. Cyber police have arrested a 50-year-old man in Udon Thani province for allegedly operating an illegal gun barrel manufacturing operation and selling the components via a popular online shopping platform. At a press conference held at the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) in Muang Thong Thani, Police Lieutenant General Trairong Phiewphan, Commissioner of the CCIB, announced the arrest of Mr. Itthithep, who had been under investigation for selling illegal firearm parts online. According to Lt. Gen. Trairong, the suspect was discovered after cyber police intensified efforts to identify individuals involved in the illegal online sale of improvised or home-manufactured firearm components. Officers came across a shop account on a well-known e-commerce application with over 700 followers, advertising brass tubes imported from Indonesia along with 22 other items. The images posted closely resembled gun barrels. Investigators traced the packages’ origins and identified Mr. Itthithep as the seller. They obtained an arrest warrant from Khon Kaen Provincial Court and a separate search warrant from Udon Thani Provincial Court, confirming the suspect resided in Moo 3, Sam Phrao subdistrict, Mueang Udon Thani. Police Major General Chatchaphandakan Klaiklueang, Commander of CCIB Division 3, stated that officers executed the search on 24 July. Mr. Itthithep, who was present at the time, admitted to owning the premises. The raid uncovered a significant cache of weapons manufacturing equipment, including numerous gun components, a drill press, lathe, metal cutting tools, a mobile phone, a notebook computer and several bank account books. Colonel Apirak Champasri reported that the suspect confessed to manufacturing and selling the firearm components through the online platform. He now faces multiple charges, including: • Possession and sale of firearms for commercial purposes without permission from the registrar • Entering false or misleading data into a computer system in a manner that could cause harm to the public, under the Computer Crimes Act. Authorities are continuing their investigation to identify other individuals or groups involved. They are also working with the online platform to prevent the further listing and sale of illegal weapons-related products. Adapted by Asean Now from Matichon 2025-07-26 -

BREAKING - WSJ: Trump’s Name All Over The Epstein Files
OK. The leather-bound album—assembled before Epstein was first arrested in 2006—included a page with a single paragraph in Clinton’s * distinctive scrawl: It’s reassuring isn’t it, to have lasted as long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventures and [illegible word], and also to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference and the solace of friends. -- No comment from team Clinton about any forthcoming libel suit. * left-handed
