Thailand on Monday (February 14) reported 14,900 new COVID-19 cases, 9,810 recoveries and 26 additional deaths over the past 24 hours.

▶︎ Infections outside prisons: 14,708. Prisons: 192

▶︎ Recoveries: 9,810

Monday’s cases bring the total number of COVID-19 infections in Thailand to 2,608,227 with 22,462 deaths.

The news comes as a cross-vaccination approach using the Sinovac and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines is now being developed as an option for recipients aged 12-17. The move comes in response to findings that this approach heightens immunity as effectively as two doses of only the Pfizer vaccine.

The recommendation for cross-vaccination in teens was made by the Department of Disease Control’s (DDC) subcommittee on promoting disease immunity. Dr Vichan Pawun, head of the Bureau of General Communicable Diseases at the DDC, said the approach was based on findings by Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Medicine.

Researchers found that teenage immunity against COVID-19 is boosted just as effectively by the cross-vaccine formula, compared to two shots of the Pfizer vaccine.

Amazing Thailand !

There are still less than 200 Inmates in the Prisons that are Infected, a figure that has remained constant for many Days now.

And there are still a huge number of Foreigners on Phuket that on a daily basis are getting contaminated with Covid.

Why is that ? When they have to undergo so many tests even before entering the Country as " clean " .

Are these " Tourists " entering the Kingdome being infected when they are in the Country, or, are they entering on false papers that have declared their Vaccinations Etc.

I also notice that the number of people in care is very close to 12,000 just in Phuket and Chonburi. I wonder how many are in care Nationally ?.

Rising covid numbers are still “manageable” but government must continue healthcare coverage

The rising number of Covid infections in Thailand is still “manageable” but the government must continue to provide support to affected areas, a public health expert told Thai Enquirer on Monday.

My daughter went back to school last Monday after the last covid break in December. Just picked her up and was told school is closed until at least March 11th as one senior student has tested positive for covid. My daughter is 4 years old and none of the kindergarten students have tested positive. This is getting ridiculous now.
