Daily News Thai Caption: (Woman) stabs her boyfriend to death

 

On the eve of Valentine's Day comes news of a horrific murder by a 25 year old woman after she argued with her boyfriend.

 

Rescue services and police were called to a stabbing in Nong Kham sub-district of Sriracha, Chonburi, east/central Thailand.

 

A man was still alive when rescue services arrived. He had been stabbed twice. CPR was given in a desperate attempt to save him but he died later in hospital.

 

A woman called Sirilak, 25,was arrested at the rented room. She was in shock and refusing to tell police what she did.

 

Witnesses told Daily News that the pair had rented the room for the last two months. They were always arguing and yesterday was no different.

 

They saw the man run out gushing blood. He collapsed unconscious. 

 

The dead man was named as Kittiphum, 27.

If it bleeds, it leads, especially if it's backed-up by video on most of the Thai news shows, especially Amarin (ch-34) & PPTV (ch-36).

Not a night goes by without a domestic murder or two, several gang fights at gas stations along with any number of guys killing each other over beers.   The more gruesome the video, the more times it will be replayed in endless loops.

Poor girl, I hope she's ok

Please tell you'd say EXACTLY the same thing if it were him who killed her.

not just Thai tv that is the same everywhere

Thai women seem to have a greater propensity towards violent outbursts than other cultures. It seems to be a  general numbness to violence as a way to resolve differences/gripes. 

 

I know of one who I recently broke away from whom I later learnt had previously attacked her boyfriend with a knife, when angry at him had asked a bikie to get rid of him and possibly drugged her other ex to death for his life insurance money. A black widow (I give a sigh of relief and wipe my forehead). 

 

Nobody seems to bat an eyelid at the shocking stuff that goes on here.  Where I am from, these women  would be serving prison sentences.  

 

I know Thai men don't take s*** off Thai women, unlike what a huge majority of farangs do accept.  They are not saints and can be very violent too, often going too far. 

 

One thing I have realized is we cannot try to compare treatment of women  in the west to that of places like here.  Don't even try to compare.  Very very different on so many levels.  Definitely more violent.

The only reason you are saying that is because of their genders (that the victim was a man).

 

You kinda want to believe the man was wrong in this and she was somehow the victim, yet I didn't see anything in the article to suggest that. Did you?

 

Society has a real problem blaming women for their wrongdoing and holding them accountable for their actions.
