Naew Na reported the latest developments into the robbery of an iPhone and attack on Cathy Hummels, wife of German footballer Mats Hummels.

Ms Hummels had been in Phang Nga filming a reality TV series before she was attacked and robbed shortly before leaving the kingdom.

The media reported that a new angle from CCTV showed three men that the Tourist Police are trying to trace.

A local called Chaiyaporn, 40, told the media that he believed the assailants are not local people.

Locals have been pressing the Khokkloi authority for better CCTV coverage and improved lighting in the area of the attack.

A volunteer tourist policeman called Suthin said that the case needed to be solved as it presented both Phang Nga and the country in a detrimental light.

How about this: the case needs to be solved because it's a crime and that's the only reason needed.
