Energy Ministry Considering Additional Measures to Manage Fuel Prices

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Energy is mulling additional measures to manage fuel prices, following the Cabinet’s approval of a proposed excise tax reduction on diesel for three months. The decision effectively halves the rate from 5.99 baht to 3 baht per liter to help alleviate the fuel price crisis.

980 primary schools in Nakhon Ratchasima suspend on-site classes due to COVID-19

A total of 980 primary schools, or 70% of all the schools in Thailand’s north-eastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima, have suspended on-site classes in favour of online learning after clusters of COVID-19 infections were detected in several districts in the province.

RAYONG (NNT) - The Rayong Pollution Control Center has declared seawater areas around Mae Ramphueng beach temporarily unsafe for recreational activities, after the area became contaminated by two oil spills in recent weeks.

Animal Army sterilizes and vaccinates 60 stray dogs over the weekend with help from the local Pattaya community

The Animal Army Foundation, who is a registered Foundation in Thailand and licensed veterinary clinic and whose primary focus is the lifesaving medical care of homeless street animals sterilized and vaccinated roughly 60 stray dogs in the Pattaya area over the weekend with the help of the local community, including a local school.

Three men arrested with tiger and leopard skins for sale in Thailand’s Kanchanaburi

National park officials and police from the Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Division arrested three men yesterday (Tuesday) and seized about two million baht’s worth of tiger and leopard hides at a resort in Sangkhla Buri district, of the western province of Kanchanaburi.
