Russia is drawing up proposals to build its first production plant for suicide drones as part of a plan for a fresh offensive in Ukraine, officials have told ITV News.

A site has been identified for a factory where Iranian specialists will help the Russian military to construct 'unmanned aerial vehicles', designed to paralyse Ukraine's energy infrastructure and overwhelm its air defence systems during the Spring, when newly trained troops are expected to launch a new push.

Construction work could begin at the factory "within weeks" said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity.

I hope this is not off topic,a Youtube video with some very disturbing opinions from Russian citizens.

Not all are for the war but the ones who are seem to be brainwashed

and unwilling to hear the other sides opinion.

Very insightful analysis from a former intelligence officer who also served with the International Legion in Ukraine last year, seeing action, and witnessing the near instant effect of Poland's donation of T2 tanks to Ukraine.  The superior Western ones hold much more promise, even in limited numbers.

Something to look forward to for the Russian people:

Nowhere’s safe: Lock up your kids as Putin’s beloved serial killers and rapist beasts come back from the Ukraine front, Russia warned.

It's not just on the front lines where convicts are being used.  Russia's armaments factories are struggling so much to keep up production that Putin has announced anyone volunteering to work in them will be exempt from military service, as well as using convicts to build his weapons, also in return for exemption from service.  One wonders just how effective they will be.

Not sure why they added North Korea's displeasure to this article, nothing to do with them although they are making money selling military supplies to Russia now.

But good news so far with the tank commitments from countries.

West to deliver 321 tanks to Ukraine, says diplomat, as North Korea accuses US of ‘crossing the red line’

Western countries will deliver more than 300 tanks to Ukraine, Kyiv’s ambassador to France said Friday.

“As of today, numerous countries have officially confirmed their agreement to deliver 321 heavy tanks to Ukraine,” Vadym Omelchenko told French TV station and CNN affiliate BFM television.

He did not specify which countries would provide the tanks or provide a breakdown of which models.

Is this the week when the war dramatically turned in Ukraine's favour? It was certainly a decisive moment, with a coalition of Western nations confirming they were finally willing to supply modern-made main battle tanks.

Germany said it would send Leopard 2 tanks and the US said it would send M1 Abrams tanks. Both the UK and Poland have already made concrete pledges, and other nations are expected to follow. Some commentators have described the move as a potential "gamechanger".

But is it really enough to win the war?

Ben Barry, senior fellow at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (ISS), tells the BBC that Western tanks will make a difference. But the former British Army Brigadier also warns that the pledges made so far are unlikely to prove decisive.

In modern warfare, tanks have been a key element for offensive operations - to punch through enemy lines and retake territory.

Not so long ago posters were cheering at how many old Russian tanks were destroyed by anti tank weapons used by the Ukrainians.

Do those same posters believe that the Leopards and Abrams are immune to anti tank weapons used by the Russians?
