If what you say is true it's unlikely he'd be around to go on trial. Either hiding in a friendly country or having crossed the great divide.

However justice has this strange habit of catching up with people in the end.

Idi Amin died in Saudi, Stalin died of a stroke and was given a state funeral and Mao, who may have caused the deaths of up to 45 million Chinese died of a heart attack and was honoured after his death.

Putin has a ways to go to be near the last 2 in brutality.

I guess the fact Putin has yet to reach the murderous excesses of others excuses his current illegal invasion, atrocities and war crimes.

Well, in the mind of some.

Putin will have to withdraw, can not see any other solution.

I will tell you the truth about Chechens. Deep inside, every Chechen hate Russians and Putin personally more than anybody else. I mean, even Kadyrov’s collaborates have the same feelings deep inside. They may pretend they are ready to die for Putin - but it is just a mask. They will never forget Kremlin for what they have done to their people. Don’t expect these people die for Putin - this will never happen.

Until now, there was not a single case of Chechens taking part in any serious operation in Ukraine. There is also not a single mention of Chechens taking part in the recent atrocities. But instead, you can find them on Instagram, where they pose constantly in their uniform (much better one than the regular Russian soldiers wear) and the guns - on the secure distance from the battlefields. They are already named the Kadyrov’s Instagram army.
The Russians should not count on Chechens in any way and I think Putin knows this very well and just uses Chechens for the propaganda purposes.  The moment something serious changes in Kremlin - the Chechens will be first to start a new war for their independence.

Curiously enough, for the last 20 years, the Chechens are literally milking the Russian budget, getting billion- ruble subsidies every year. This led many analytics to believe that it was the Chechens who won the war against the Russians and are now paid by Moscow just to keep them quiet.

I hope you're right but according to a western diplomat based in Damascus a first contingent of 300 Syrians have already left for Russia for military training before going to Ukraine, 1,000's more are being recruited. This was a report from 5 days ago.

Chechens are diversed in large numbers, and enjoy priviligies as long Ramzan Kadyrov are in power. At once or eventually he is removed they are the Quislings that will be tracked down and prosecuted.

They motivation is to keep their relations to Russia.

Time will show if it's just propaganda to create more fear on Ukrainian side. To much information floating around. Because of the spring coming, Russians need to withdraw, and can not move further on, and the question is, what will they gain to keep lines that is not secured?

We will see more bombings, killings where they use burned soil tactic same as Germans did when they withdraw from Northern Norway. Leaving nothing behind.

I don't think a  western diplomat would necessarily want to create fear on the Ukrainian side. However they've yet to be seen on the ground in Ukraine and until then we have to wait and see.

There are actually some Chechens fighting for the Ukraine side not just those fighting for Russia.

The other main Chechen formation in Ukraine, the Dzhokhar Dudayev Battalion (named after Chechnya’s first president in the 1990s), also recently announced its reactivation. In a recent video address, its leader Adam Osmaev delivers a message to the country. “I want to assure Ukrainians that real Chechens are defending Ukraine today,” he says. “These puppets [Kadyrovtsy] fighting for Russia are a shame to our whole nation — we consider them only traitors,”

This is could be a Nazi propaganda text (of the real Nazis I mean), just replace words with others in a historical context and it fits perfectly.

Putin is an imperialist fascist dictator war criminal with nukes who started a war of aggression in Europe.

Must be stopped.

How Putin lost the plot had me think back about the scenarios used in some movies around the year 2000, about evil, crazy nostalgic Russian generals wanting to revive the Soviet Union by starting the 3rd world war, using nuclear weapons.

At the time I thought that was completely unrealistic, that the Russians would NEVER do such a thing ... and look now.

Putin is exactly that.

A colonel who wants to revive the USSR.

The film stories hit close to home.

It's a stretch, but I don't own much things in Thailand, and all my family's possessions risk irradiation if Poo-Tin launches his rockets ????

How exactly would Stalin have been brought to justice? Was interpol around....lol

Bedrock PD was on the case.

Moscow’s U.N. ambassador, Vassily Nebenzia, said that while Bucha was under Russian control, “not a single local person has suffered from any violent action.” Reiterating what the Kremlin has contended for days, he said that video footage of bodies in the streets was “a crude forgery” staged by the Ukrainians.

“You only saw what they showed you,” he said. “The only ones who would fall for this are Western dilettantes.”

Bodies of dead Russian soldiers piled high, war loot seen in Sumy

More than 400 were executed by Russia’s soldiers in Bucha, in actions branded as “genocide” by international observers.

When the evil atrocities carried out by the Russians in Bucha were first revealed Russian media went into overtime with paranoid rhetoric that was soon followed by the Russian diplomats denying the incidents. Despite first hand eye witness accounts of executions, rapes and torture of civilians by multiple people. Drone footage of 2 separate incidents of murder of innocent civilians and of course the horrifying videos with the bodies lying in the streets tied up along with others in back allies with their hands tied and shot.

The denials started with claiming it was the British who had staged the bodies, then they claimed they saw one of the dead bodies moving and finally they decided it was the Ukraine soldiers who came in after they left and carried out the shootings, in particular accusing the Azov battalion as being responsible.

They forgot a couple of tiny details. Satellite images captured the bodies in the street before the Russians left and the witnesses are still alive to tell their stories.

OSCE Ambassadors, including @USAmbOSCE, walked out of today's Permanent Council meeting, as the Russian representative repeated lies that Russia was not responsible for the atrocities in #Bucha. We will hold those responsible accountable. #StandWithUkraine

Its obvious to a blind man now supply Ukraine with every conceivable weapon they request including planes then simply deny it play the Russian game ????

This what has allegedly  occurred to peace negotiators, no doubt done in "good faith" as some would claim.

The Putin apologists and peddlers of lies, have forgotten that there are not only drone footage of the atrocities, but also satellite images show the time and dates of the criminal behaviours.

The US has promised to increase deliveries of anti tank missiles which are portable so the distance means little.

"Ukraine Is Getting a Massive Shipment of Weapons to Fight Russia

In the first shipments, the Pentagon focused predominately on anti-tank and anti-air weapons, such as the FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missile and the FIM-92 Stinger anti-aircraft weapon. But now, the military aid package includes more niche capabilities, such as unmanned aerial systems, suicide drones, and night vision devices.

More specifically, the Pentagon is sending Laser-guided rocket systems, Switchblade Tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems, Puma Unmanned Aerial Systems, Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems, Armored High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles, Small-to-large caliber nonstandard ammunition, Night vision devices, thermal imagery systems, and optics, Tactical secure communications systems, Non-standard machine guns, Commercial satellite imagery services, Medical supplies, field equipment, and spare parts."

As gruesome videos and photos of bodies emerge from the Kyiv suburb of Bucha, Kremlin-backed media are denouncing them as an elaborate hoax — a narrative that journalists in Ukraine have shown to be false.

Denouncing news as fake or spreading false reports to sow confusion and undermine its adversaries are tactics that Moscow has used for years and refined with the advent of social media in places like Syria.

In detailed broadcasts to millions of viewers, correspondents and hosts of Russian state TV channels said Tuesday that some photo and video evidence of the killings were fake while others showed that Ukrainians were responsible for the bloodshed.

Even the (nutbag) leader of a right-wing political party in The Netherlands, that has 8 seats in the Dutch parliament, called the news that came out of Bucha, and is still coming out, fake news. Putin has stooges all over Europe, and they won’t hesitate to defend everything Putin/Russia does. They live in their own little fact free world.
In many ways they remind me of the communist parties in the West, which also for a very long time slavishly and blindly followed the Kremlin line, no matter how many people Stalin and his successors killed, tortured or locked up in the Soviet Union.
