Police arrest Thai couple and seize almost two kilogrammes of methamphetamine

The Poipet city police arrested a Thai couple and seized from them almost two kilogrammes of methamphetamine drugs at the Cambodian-Thai border. Provincial Anti-Drug police chief Colonel Sin Thindeth identified the suspects as Chaiyaporn Porntum, 41, and his wife as Suwannarat Sumlle, 32 who worked at a Thai-owned casino at the border in Poipet city.

He said the suspects were arrested yesterday after the police raided their rental house in Poipet city’s Poipet commune. He added the raiding party seized 103 packages of ice and 2,920 pills, all weighing nearly 2 kilogrammes,  a weighing scale, two mobile phones as well as other related materials from the premises.
