300+ fishermen in Satun demand government to solve fishery problems concretely

More than 300 fisherpersons in four districts of Satun province staged a demonstration, demanding the government to solve the local fishery problems as soon as possible.

The fishermen in Satun claimed that many fishery problems still need to be solved in a concrete and urgent manner. They submitted a letter to the state officials, asking for the government to set up a special working body responsible for solving fishery problems with state agencies and other local organizations.

In addition, they want the government to organize a stage for fisherpersons to meet and discuss their issues for every three months. Thus, they could cooperate and develop plans to preserve the marine environment.
