The briefest of searches on the WWW will reveal that the average size of a slice of shop bought sliced bread is 3 to 4 inches square and I'm quite sure that every pop up toaster in the world is designed around those dimensions. I'm afraid that it is Makro who are out of lockstep.

Lotus's produce an excellent whole wheat sliced loaf which toasts to perfection. (in my aging Phillips)

I think Makro's multigrain loaves are really made for sandwiches, not toasting. Lovely bread though. I shall try Lotus's, thanks.

I prefer Makro white bread which is thicker if bought from Sukhumvit vs North Pattaya road, fits in the toaster perfectly, Continental white bread doesn't for half the loaf so I'm now cutting in half which is fine.

whole bread is over rated, eat it for years but got sick of it
