BANGKOK, March 21 (TNA) – The Meteorological Department issued a warning on tropical depression over the Bay of Bengal, which would cause very heavy rain in the western coast of the southern region on March 21 and 22.

 

The department said at 4 am today, the tropical depression over the middle part of the Bay of Bengal is moving slightly north-northwest with the maximum sustained winds about 55 km/hr.

 

It is expected to make landfall over Myanmar by tomorrow (March 22). While the strong southerly and the southeasterly winds prevail across the North, the Central the East and the South.

No kidding, we got dumped on here in Bangkok from about 5 pm to early am.  I have not seen this much rain so early in the season before.

Nakhon pathom Monday morning 5am, 10 minute light shower.

Just south of Hua Hin, heavy rain 0930-1030 Sunday morning, then another round of heavy rain to light rain to angel pee very late Sunday evening (2230-2330), total ~1.5".
