As Asia continues to reopen, country by country, the latest to roll back restrictions is Cambodia which just opened to fully vaccinated international travelers without a quarantine or entry PCR/antigen test. If you reside in Thailand, it's not the going that's an issue. It's the returning to Thailand that is a hassle.

Been the Cambodia many times. I think the casinos in PP are more interesting than old temples...MO.

I went to Siem Reap loads of times, never entered Angkor Wat, $30 to visit a temple in a 3rd world country? they gotta be kidding! Had plenty of 50c beers and $1 cocktails though.

Yes, I think Cambodia is ahead of time whereas countries like Thailand and Malaysia still want PCR test and Covid insurance even when more than 90% (Malaysia) and 70% (Thailand) are fully vaccinated.

This is not an ordinary temple. This is a world class huge temple complex and a UNESCO heritage site.

 

How much would it cost for you build such a temple in a western country?

 

$30 is considered cheap.

Why would they be kidding. It´s an amazing experience well worth the 30 dollar it costs. Just, because you rather put your value for money in beer, does not make other things worthless. But, great for you, you got 60 beer more and a nice hang over.

I was under the impression (maybe wrongly) that arrivals in Cambodia still needed to do one test after arrival, and quarantine if found positive.

I do not think the poster meant he drank the 60 beers in one go....hence a further expense might be necessary to get the hangover ????
