More like a nightmare - but did I see somewhere (some time ago) that after September 2022 Non resident O retirement extensions will need medical insurance?

Maybe confusing an O visa and an OA visa.

O visa extensions require no mandatory health insurance, and I believe there is no current plan to implement one.

OA visa extensions require, since Oct 2019 , a mandatory health insurance with coverage of 40k baht outpatient and 400k baht inpatient. In September 2022 the coverage will rise to 3 million baht.

Thanks for your helpful answer - that's where I must have been getting confused
