Desmopressin Acetate for Diabetes Insipidus

Featured Replies

Good day

A couple of pharmacies have told me that this is available without prescription but I can't find it anywhere, even in the Southeast pharmacy on Sukhumvit.

It's a nasal spray used for treatment of diabetes insipidus.

It's also available in pill form.

Would appreciate any leads.

Thank you

The brand name is Minirin. It is going to be hard to source as not widely used. Your best bet are phgaermacies near large teaching hospitals e.g:

 -  2-3 pharmacies on Rajavithi near the Monument  (opposite Rajavithi Hospital)

 - SC Drugstore on Rama IV (between Silom and Suriwong)

- Fascinos and other large pharmacy acropss from it, in Thonburi near Siriraj Hospital

If these fail, best to contact the distributor which is DKSH.

Have a Thai speaker call, or go in person -they do nto have good record for responding to emails

If they will not sell to you directly, they might at least know which pharmacies they have supplied to
