Hi there, I will be down south around July and was thinking of taking my child to Ko Lipe but I went and had a look on youtube and found videos made in Jan, where the whole island has practically shut down.

 

Has anyone been there in the last month or so, how is it? Up and running again or still closed off?

Thanks, I had a look last night after posting. It does seem to have opened up but it's difficult to get a sense of how much so. I am assuming that getting there is harder these days and was hoping someone give give an account of a recent trip there.

If I were you, I would wait another year until the weather improves.

July wet season. Lipe is isolated and far from mainland. That means worse weather and seas. Go Nov to May.
