If you can't afford a real car, you can at least make it look like a real car.

That looks like an official pop up showroom in a shopping centre? Where did you take the picture? Have they really stuck a Merc badge on an MG5?? Surely that is Photoshopped? It can't be an official MG pop up.

If it is real, whoever did it is a very sad person.

Must be a second hand showroom of some sort. Here's the same car on the road. Either very sad or he/she's got a very good sense of humour. I suspect the former though.

This guy is obviously richer because his is a C250! Some odd people out there. The guy in the house opposite me is one such case, he has a BMW 520d but has stuck an M5 badge on it. It's just sad.

If he is very sad for adding fake badges, then I must be very happy for removing real badges.

I hate badges of any sort on a car.

Next time you follow a Toyota pickup count the number of Toyota badges on the tailgate, including the logo, it’s horrific.

BYD Seal has a BYD badge and a BYD Seal badge. The second badge should be “Seal”, the second BYD is repetitive.

I will add that from watching a lot of Youtube videos I consider very creditable and lots of googling over the last week regarding how Tesla determines the current SOH, it is done by initiating a special battery capacity test the owner can initiate in the car's infotainment service menu area.  Basically this test can take 12 to 24 hrs because it discharges the battery to the 0 to 5% SoC ballpark and then recharges to 100% on a slow charger (i.e., 7KW or less).

During this recharge the battery's "capacity" is measured by the OBD system....that is, how many KWH/AH the battery can "now" hold compared to its rated capacity when new from the factory.

Up until the EV owner runs this test the car's infotainment display will continue to report a 100% SOH....even if the Tesla EV is many years old...and has lot of mileage and charges under its belt.  Once this test is run the SOH reading is updated....no longer reports 100% but reports the "current" SOH which will be something less than 100% assuming the EV has at least a few months of usage under its belt.

and then did a full recharge to 100% at home using my 7KW wall charger.

This is rock solid and really good 👍 information, thanks for the write up.

Did you by any chance record how many kWh your Atto took when charging from 1-100% and calculated the SOH, similar to the Tesla test you describe in ur next post?

hyundai ionic 5 N - avaibale at 3.8m baht

Thanks for that. Do you have a link?

Just wondering if this is a grey import price as the 5 N is not listed on the Thai Hyundai site and the UK price is ฿2.8m

A hopeless girl's EV car has water damage and the battery is broken. The insurance company has not paid the claim and suggested putting it in the sun. The insurance company said that they will expedite the process.

The insurance is the responsibility of the insurance company. Neta Company could not answer much. The company already informed that the battery should be replaced by informing the insurance company, but the insurance company disappeared. They contacted again on August 29. It is also not advisable to expose the battery to sunlight. The battery was damaged by water and short-circuited. There is a high risk of malfunction and danger to customers who will be harmed.

No in this case it was an accident lady was driving it start raining hard unable to see what was on the road due to flood water car hit something that pierce a hole in the battery pack driver got home next day started car drove less than a kilometer. A turtle symbol came up about a system failure. The moisture barrier had a problem. The battery icon came up again. Then the steering wheel locked and the car went into a coma.”.

Case does highlight that if you battery issues and you need to call a tow truck while both the customer and the call centre may opt for the nearest service centre being the cheapest in distance the call centre should advise that the nearest doesn't have the necessary equipment to handle battery removal and should advise customer tow truck should go the nearest service centre that supports battery removal

Why should they cover the damage, as it was no fault of Neta.   She had an accident, so it's claimed on her accident insurance.

There is an article on khaosod they have blurred out the logo on the steering wheel but didn't blur out the air vents design  so everyone knows what the brand is

MG big boss sits as EV association president, insists Thailand must be a production base for export to Europe.

You can almost hear the Chinese EV manufacturers cry 😢 like a whining baby.

They are not competitive on a level playing field. They need support and subsidies day and night. What a bunch of loosers. ICE will kick their arse any day of the week.

"It is believed that the Thai electric vehicle industry still has a lot of room for growth if it receives support, promotion and encouragement from all sectors.... "

The EV manufacturers might soon find out that Thailand 🇹🇭 always do what is best for Thailand 🇹🇭

Just like they did with Chevron and the Erawan field, the Australian gold mine, the Austrian ambulances and fire trucks and of course the HK Hopewell project.

It is popcorn 🍿 😋 time.

What kind of Mickey Mouse EV is this?

JY AIR?

A quick Google search point me to the latest 30,000 BTU Mitsubishi aircon.

Is it held together with Scotch tape?

Why the Latin letters on the license plate?

Don't use the internet search options much.  Try Junyao Air, although you may get the airlines.  Same guy owning and expanding to EV.  Add 'electric vehicle' to search parameter.  Articles & vids available

Here, but not close to available .... yet.   You'll have to Q up later to put your deposit down for it.  Special paint job for you:
