I won't have to concern myself with that for about 6 years, as battery is under warranty for 8 years, and 2 down.  Life expectancy being 20 or 40 yrs, depending what propaganda you read.

Doubtful the motors will have any issue, or the battery for that matter, within mine or the wife's lifetime.

The rest of the car, if needing something, yes, the dealer would be doing the work, as stated enough times, I'm a LPOS.  Don't have the tools to do anything anyway.

Only played mechanic on vehicles in the past, because I was too poor to pay a mechanic to do.  Not a problem now, or been the last 40 yrs, as could afford newer cars that didn't break down.  Can't remember last time I had to fix something.  Maybe a water pump on my Maxima, means 1994 maybe.  Remember swapping that out before it crapped out.  Prior to that, might have been 40 years since I actually worked on a car, besides basic tune up.

What's an LPOS?

Then don't call members on AN dinosaurs, who may have more automotive knowledge than you,  cos you just call out the tow truck to fix any problem with your EV....😬.

Bloody cheek.....

So now EV's doubtful to get any problems........🙄

There go, as usual, misunderstanding what it state, or applying it as you see fit.  Never said EV won't have problems, just that I don't expect any with mine, that I need to be concerned about.

At the 8 yr mark, if it craps out, out of warranty, I'll just buy a new.  Never owned any car for 8 yrs anyway.  Saw one the other day that looked really nice, and right up my alley ... JAECOO 6, and only ฿1.1M

Grumpy ol' dinosaurs not being current doesn't only apply to vehicles, but across the board.

If needing info for our MG, I'd simply go to MG or one of the MG forums.  From my experience with FB Groups (drones & photography), I didn't take very long to go from the dumbest person in the room, to the smartest.

Not much different from AN, when thinking about it.  Old grumpy members stuck in the past, knowledge & tech wise, and think they are current, when in reality, they're dinosaurs.

Wasn't it a FB group that we found the info about the 2019 MG ZS having a battery moisture issue, along with the fix, and also that the new 2022 ZS now being IP67 ?

Yes it was a FB group page that raised the issue on the 2019 MG ZS EV Battery vents having a potential battery moisture issue I haven't seen a fix for this and according to this youtube page problem still exists

this refers to 2019 model only as as battery was changed for 2022 onwards models

January 14th 2024

Weakness of MG ZS EV that has not been fixed: Battery water enters through the battery vent cap

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7W9ctFbK4M

With approx 21,000 MG EV registered over the past 2 years and 60,000 BYD EV registered over a similar period

if someone is looking for particular information on a brand / model I personally would't limit my research to just expats as of the combined MG and BYD registrations of 81,000 the numbers owned by expats that use English language as their primary language may be quite small in numbers

They had a redesigned plug, that kept moisture out, and think I even posted about it, when we were discussing it.  Though TBH, don't know if it actually worked, time tested.

Yea, I'd use MG or BYD forums, such as one I posted earlier.  Or forums in OZ, as basically the same cars are sold there.

Wulling are imported into Thailand as a whole vehicle from Indonesia

How come the price of Wuling Air EV in Thailand is cheaper than in Indonesia?

Wuling Motors Indonesia Brand and Marketing Director Dian Asmahani explained that the price difference was due to different incentive policies from the Thai government.

Chinese EV-maker starts assembly of Wuling at Thailand factory

Company sourcing 50% of parts locally, aims to increase it to 70%

The Chonburi factory of automaker EV Primus Ltd has started assembling electrical vehicles (EVs) under the brand name Wuling.

The plant has a maximum output capacity of 10,000 units per year, the company said on Wednesday.

I think Wuling’s start from about 150,000 baht in China

Now move along, one who doesn't even own a vehicle :cheesy:

I’m sure he would like to but unfortunately they don’t fall out of the sky. On top of that, there are all the incidentals like engine oil, transmission oil, fan belts, brakes… and oh, almost forgot, fuel :cheesy:

Wow, what a bargain for a car that drives well!  The MG 4 D for 599k baht. You can order any color now.

Fast charging is as fast/slow as Atto 3. For the price can't complain about the boot space, the spartan interior, speakers and infotainment system.

i took the bait and asked the dealer and now it 609,900 but for 2025 year model that includes a spoiler.
