Budget is under 5 grand (GBP)

On my last waiver this year and 6th year of teaching, so need to start this year

Not sure whether to just go for a cheap Filipino one or UK one like Nottingham

Least stressful the better

There seems to have been some changes recently with what the TCT accept and they now seem to be pushing (expensive) M.Ed courses being run at 3 different Thai Unis and not accepting other Masters and PGCEs.

A colleague has just finished his Nottingham PGCEi, remains to be seen if gets over the line with the MoE.

This could be carnage in a couple of years when those with expiring Licenses on previously recognized qualifications try to renew.

As confusing and forever changing Thai rules seem to be, one thing I have noticed over the years is the implementation of grandfathering.

I would think those that already have a licence will be able to renew with their existing qualifications.

I may be wrong, but doesn't working at an International School here, help you to get your licence?

So maybe switch to an International School.

They won't be asking those of us with current teaching licences to do anything extra. It is prior rights just as it is with the Thai teachers.

International School teachers also need Thai licenses.  However, most of them have licenses from their home counties, which will qualify them for Thai licenses.

Does this mean those working at international schools with a UK Med AND QTS in the UK and US do not need a Thai teaching licence?
