Neeranam
I did a COVID test and am positive. I've felt very tired, sore muscles and cough for 3 days. Feeling a bit better today but a sore throat. Is there any need to see the doctor? My daughters tell me I should.

KhunLA
Why would you ? As with every minor viral sniffle, cough, simply treat the symptoms. A doc can't do any more than that. Why waste your time & money. Especially since you already, and probably accurately diagnosed the cause. If it wasn't you posting, I'd suspect this as a wind up ????

Popular Post Tropicalevo
You only need to see a doctor if you want to claim on insurance or fly anywhere. (Fit to fly certificate.) "Feeling a bit better today" Seems the worse is winding down. Would only seek medical assistance if symptoms worsened. I simple flu symptoms for a week or so, then the doc can't do much more than you, and that's simply treat symptoms if bothersome. Don't know if you're a 'mask'er' ???? but may want to wear one if going out, and avoid being around any 50+ aged folks. Popular Post internationalism
just self-isolate, take body temperature several times daily. Drink plenty of room temperature water (minimum 3 litres), some vitamin pills (C, D+calcium), lime or lemon juice, honey. Garlic, ginger., any healthy foods and spices. For sore throat camillosan spray. If cough comes back get NAC Long from pharmacy. Paracetamol for any pains, nasal congestion. If you have some serious underlying conditions you can see a doctor if any symptoms return Edited May 22, 2022 by internationalism 2
Popular Post RedBackman
In general self-quarantine for at least 5 days (10 is better), watch out for those you've been in contact with as well. Stay hydrated, get rest and take paracetamol for home treatment. If you have severe symptoms like trouble breathing, chest pain, pale or blue lips/skin then get to the hospital for treatment. 3

Certainly coming back to thailand is testless from 1st May. From 1st June even unvaxed can enter with no any testing

internationalism
swimming likely lower your body temperature, you can catch cold, worsen symptoms. Very moderate physical activity is good, in the well ventilated room, around property. You need body vital energy to be used against infection, not for sports. Take easy for a week or so. Just resting and recovering.

Popular Post ThailandRyan
Day 4 was when I lost my taste and sense of smell, that lasted 4 more days, I to was feeling better on day 3 like you but then another low grade fever kicked in. The fatigue was real, and then came the sinus infection, never saw a doctor or was diagnosed other than on an ATK test kit. Stay isolated if you can, Vitamin D, Vitamin C and chicken soup along with Tylenol helped me through the worst of it, so did Netflix..... 2
Popular Post rumak
As a matter of fact, only the unvaccinated people i know did not get sick.... including an 80 year old mother of a friend of mine (he and wife got sick) If people want to believe their symptoms "would have been much worse without getting the shots".. well, i don't know why they think that. ( more postings of "sources" from the vax lovers to follow) But the natural immunity you have now gained will protect you and healthy others very well...... And i remain happily healthy and have no concoctions shot into me for covid. I do have other shots for measles etc Edited May 24, 2022 by onthedarkside misinfo comments removed 4

Lorry
4 hours ago, RedBackman said: If you have severe symptoms like trouble breathing, chest pain, pale or blue lips/skin then get to the hospital for treatment. That would be (too) late. You should have a pulse oximeter (Shoppee or any pharmacy, less than 1000 B) and check saturation 3 times a day. If it is 92-93% or less walk around a couple of minutes, it should go up. If saturation stays 92-93% or less for several hours go to hospital, you may need oxygen. Do not wait until the next day. This is the only really important advice. But it was important with the old variants, with omicron most people manage very well without a pulse oximeter. The risk is low. If you are adventurous and want to do more, google Pulmicort and fluvoxamine and you will find the relevant studies. Personally, I would not recommend fluvoxamine to a layman. The usage of Pulmicort is disputed. The only really helpful medication is Paxlovid. You need good connections and preexisting conditions to get it. Under no circumstances should someone self-medicate with Paxlovid.

Popular Post Scott
I live in an area (not in Thailand) that had a large outbreak. Most had been vaccinated and some boosted. Medically speaking, those that were vaccinated had mild symptoms lasting about 5 days (one person it was about 7 days). None of the vaccinated required medical attention. A few called their doctor but were told not to come in unless they get really ill. The unvaccinated couple did not fare quite as well. They were not hospitalized, but they had daily visits by medical providers and were laid up for several weeks. Unless you feel like you need to see a doctor, you probably don't. Sinovac may not have been the best vaccine, but it still does point the immune system in the right direction to fight the virus. As one other poster mentioned, it can be a little tricky in some people. It can get serious rather quickly, so stay alert, but unless you have other problems like heart disease, diabetes, etc. I suspect you will have few problems. Best of luck and keep us posted. 4

Your opinion isn't worth a thing because it is based on emotion not evidence. Putting inverted commas around the word sources doesn't render those sources invalid, it makes your nonsensical statements invalid. The evidence that vaccinations have reduced deaths and hospitalisations from COVID in every country in the world where they have been used is absolutely overwhelming. Just one recent study out of very many: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33985964/ Effectiveness of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines on covid-19 related symptoms, hospital admissions, and mortality in older adults in England: test negative case-control study Bernal, J.L. et al British Medical Journal . 2021 May 13;373:n1088.doi: 10.1136/bmj.n1088. "Combined with the effect against symptomatic disease, a single dose of either vaccine was about 80% effective at preventing admission to hospital with covid-19 and a single dose of BNT162b2 was 85% effective at preventing death with covid-19." Evidence can be read, evaluated and confirmed by further studies. Unevidenced assertions from random internet posters can be safely ignored. 9

So, to recap - Monday night - sure I contracted the virus Wednesday, felt tired but thought it was too much sun on the golf course. Felt cold in my pool at night. Thursday, slept 2 hours in the afternoon so thought I had the flu. Friday, slight cough but thought nothing of it. Saturday, found my friend had Covid so took a test - positive. Symptoms got worse probably due to listening to the fearmongering ???? Sunday, prickly cough bit sore when swallowing. At night, got a slight panic/paranoia attack when I thought I had breathing difficulties. made a pact with my Higher Power - if He let me live, I'd be a better person. Probably sue to spraying my isolation room to kill the mosquitos just before sleeping. Monday, nearly back to normal, just a bit congested. Today, top of the world, that wonderful feeling you get when you've recovered from something. Edited May 24, 2022 by Neeranam 2

It's a contest between fact-based science and belief. Frequently the volume of belief is quite a few notches higher on social media, where everyone can have confirmation of their biases by other believers. I am amused by the climate deniers who claim children are being brainwashed into belief in climate science. The same people probably quite happily send their children off to Sunday School or sectarian colleges, to be indoctrinated into belief of an entity they cannot see, touch or hear. 2
