2 policemen transferred for allegedly assaulting 3 youths in Nakhon Pathom

Two police officers in Nakhon Pathom province were transferred to “inactive posts” Friday at the operations centre of Nakhon Pathom provincial police office, pending an investigation into an incident in which they are accused of assaulting three youths.

A team of veterinarians from Thailand’s Department of Marine and Coastal Resources was sent to a mangrove forest in Bang Khun Thian district yesterday (Saturday), to investigate the remains of a 10-metre Bryde’s whale.

Big School Drop-Out Rate Post-Covid

The reopening of schools in Thailand last week revealed a huge number of children missing from class.  “We estimate that up to 120,000 children have left school during Covid-19 and are unable to continue their education after lockdowns were lifted due to family problems and other factors,” said Education Minister Trinuch Thienthong.
