That's because they maybe attract persons who have no prior health insurance track record and those people in particular play fast & loose in disclosing any prior medical history. Then they put in a claim in short order after beginning coverage. I agree, and this happens with other companies. So, who is trying to pull a scam; The insurance company or the insured? However, some of the replies by this insurance company sound very unprofessional.... "Hi Warren, Sorry to hear that. But, are you an actual customer of our company? OR are you just venting against insurance companies?" I mean, wtf is this?

At least with the very average thai health insurance you can sue them as my lawyer friend tells me

jerrymahoney
The Association of British Insurers is the voice of the UK’s world-leading insurance and long-term savings industry. Making a complaint If you're unhappy about the way your claim has been handled or the way your insurer has treated you, you have the right to complain. If you are unhappy with your insurer's response to your formal complaint, or if they do not respond within eight weeks, you can take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Services (FOS). The FOS is an independent body which aims to settle complaints between consumers and businesses providing financial services. The FOS can only award a maximum of £150,000 and will only represent individuals – it will not represent companies. https://www.abi.org.uk/data-and-resources/tools-and-resources/making-a-complaint
