They are here to stay, well entrenched and building  more of their own places around Beach Rd Soi 6, Soi 13/4 and other places. Many are middle class and educated. Many speak  better English than so called native English speakers on this forum. Contrary to popular  myth many have money and are spending it here in Pattaya. Most are polite, inquisitive and positive. They are a welcome addition  to Pattaya- not all, but most.

Wot? You sayin me English aint up to scratch?

Trouble is the better class decent Indians dont come here for their holidays, we tend to get the bottom of the barrel ones.

Can you prove that? Perhaps if you didn't hang out at low class places you wouldn't meet low class Indians. If you drank at upper  class places you would meet upper class Indians. Most of the hi so Indians  coming here don't socialise at the rough farang places.

Why is it that racists always argue that something they do isn't racist....yet they clearly approve of racism?

Partly because of forum policy. It's acceptable to make prejudiced comments about Indians but not acceptable to  criticise American blacks or gays. But it must change. And it will when racist threads are forwarded  to the Indian Chamber of Commerce and  the Indian  tourist authority  and Indian start to make their voice heard here on this forum.

I've been to a few Indian weddings.

Living in California you come  across many Indians of the diaspora, and they do have money and spend big on weddings

I've been to weddings in Monterey, San Diego, and most spectacularly a private event on Altcratrz.

I can't actually imagine of them turning those events into something Thailand

They do. They can charter  a plane from Bombay, rent villas  for dozens of guests and elephants  are easy to hire.
