77kaoded reported that a wild elephant entered the kitchen of a property in the village of Ban Thung Faek in Nadee district of Prachinburi.

The house owner managed to chase it away. The pachyderm had been looking for food.

It came from the Thap Lan national park.

The house owner was plugging in a rice cooker at the time.

As the woman screamed the elephant opened the rice cooker with its trunk and helped itself to the rice before leaving.

The house owner's daughter told the media what happened yesterday morning.

Poor Elephant ,must be starving ,or fed up with leaves

Thanks for the red markers, as its quite hard to see the elephant in the room.

I'm curious how they always seem to know they are hungry and looking for food.

Possibly, just looking for love (in all the wrong places).

The fact that most outdoor areas are kitchens, doesn't necessarily mean it was looking for food.  If it was an outdoor bedroom, would it be looking for place to sleep ?

On that, possibly sensing a pending rain storm, and simply wanted some shelter.  Did anyone ask ?

An elephant in the room is often invisble/silent.
