Popular Post snoop1130
Deputy Education Minister Kanokwan Vilawan has been found to be at fault, by Thailand’s National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), for land encroachment in Khao Yai National Park and has been instructed to report to public prosecutors to acknowledge the charges against her or face arrest. Nine other people, including the minister’s father, were also to be found at fault for the same reason. NACC Secretary-General Niwatchai Kasemmongkol told the media today that the anti-graft watchdog had enough grounds to charge the deputy education minister and her father Sunthorn, who is currently the mayor of Prachin Buri the provincial administrative organisation, with land encroachment. So why have they not been charged and hauled to the local Den of Iniquity AKA the police station?
seajae
again we see these "high so's" thinking they are above the law, time for the book to be thrown at them and treat them like they treat all other thais and not treat them as special, they have lied to the govt, done fraudulent actions to obtain the land and still think they do not have to answer for it. Jail time and massive fines are the only way to stop this happening, they did the right thing with the chicken lady, let them do the right thing here as well

They appear in court at the soon as possible and there they can apply for bail. Here the article says present yourselves at the police station so they can be charged. Where does it say she and others would be put in jail? Certainly not in the original article.

Maybe im mistaken its not my native language. But sure she should be arrested and then granted bail like so many others.

Whether the case go's to trial is generally down to the CPS. I'm answer to your question, yes, the authorities can hold you in jail especially for cases such as murder
poskat
"An arrest warrant may be issued against her if she continues to refuse to see the prosecutors." isnt there any law about what happens when you refuse to show? The first request gives her the chance to come in voluntarily. not showing up for that should automatically generate the arrest warrant.
