Vance calls out Harris
She'll win. Trump in no way can compare to her accomplishments in public service. She has climbed the ladder of public service in California like a rock star. She was Attorney General of California under Jerry Brown and then went on to be senator after Barbara Boxer. She was a DA for Alamada county and then San Francisco. She is an extremely intelligent woman. Trump can't hold a candle to her track record, intelligence, experience and education. She's my home girl and she's gonna win like a rock star. Get over it. -

The sour left, still no sense of humour. Thanks for the confirmation and lack of wit in your response. -

Tommy Robinson Fans UK Riots from Europe
The percentage is real though. The money spent on asylum seekers comes from the 0.5% of the UK's GNI allocated for aid. Every developed country has an aid budget. Nigel Farage wants to cut that in half (note: he does not want it scrapped). Half would obviously still be 0.25% of the GNI (nearly double what we currently spend on asylum seekers). Millions and billions sound like big numbers - because in isolation they are. But in terms of annual spend by a major world economy they are not - you end up with percentages such as 0.15%. There's plenty of information out there about the benefits of having an aid budget (which, presumably, is why every developed country has one) and about the negative consequences if we decided to stop and ditched the international treaties we signed up to - consequences that would likely cost the British people far more than 0.15% of the GNI. Plenty of people and politicians would like us all to believe that the crumbling structures of the UK are caused by the 0.15% dent into our annual budget. Such people are the real first class citizens of the country, they're not waiting months for a hospital appointment etc., they're too busy laughing all the way to the bank. -

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
There are however arguments to be made in favor of what you said, regarding governments not working in favor of citizen's interests and why don't they do things like prevent foreigners from taking jobs in their countries. However, if you have a Thai family, then if the government didn't allow us to work here like you insinuate (fortunately they do) then why should/would they allow us to live here? That makes no sense. Equally, in such a situation and one where countries (including those in the west and elsewhere) stop allowing foreigners to work (except temporarily perhaps) one would need to reexamine whether it's a good idea to marry a foreigner and have a family with them as there would be untold difficulties with such a choice. One could argue that's already the case now to some extent but it would be infinitely more complicated if what you want to see happen, were to occur. If it did, then forget about the DTV or any scheme to allow foreigners in.. We'd need to divorce our Thai wives, abandon our Thai children and find wives in our own countries, have children with them and stay there, like in the good old days of yesteryear. The ways of the future are that all countries and notably Thailand too, will be forced to open up in a way never seen before. You may not believe it, but in the decades to come, Thailand will start to resemble an Asian version of the west. Given the aging population and extremely low birth rate and the country's adoption of progressive politics this is basically inevitable. -
