Pure mumbo jumbo, the immigration inertia is so ingrained in the bureaucratic structure of the government that it won't happen.

Immigration is a police department, so I reckon they must/should take notice of Gov. instructions.

But, just imagine the Imm. police redundancies with the loss of 90 day reporting..............????

He has idea's and that is good.. scrap the 90 days report for long stay visas, approve the Gay Marriage, open casino's... in fact wht he is saying Thailand please get rid of ancient laws and enter in 21st  century. I don't care what he has done, people make mistakes, but can restart and do better than before... Everybody deserves a second chance or not? And it is proven that Gay Marriage is a economic booster... Thailand with beautiful places to marry and a population hungering for it.. Can you imagine how many parties there will be coming?? And as for 90 days report it seems that every non Thai on long term visa is still treated as a kind of crimininal to report if you are still living at the same address, as we all know that address is a must to report. And the casino's... yes... indeed why has the Government that it is forbidden to gamble and the Government  organize a lottery twice a month and is probably making new gambling games, as they announced not so long ago.. A non gambling law is not for Governments?? or is a lottery no gambling??... So casinos should be possible

And legalise the sex trade/Prostitution/working girls, that would help tourism .

Stamping out corruption would be nice too .

Getting cops to uphold the law 24/7

IMO, I am sure these tourists would be more welcome than the backpacker, pot head junkies and the marijuana!

Oh wow now he is just being a Korn in the side of the current administration....pun intended

He's got some good ideas which support the poor to get into a much better quality of life but he never seems to talk loud enough and follow through to gain real traction.

One can only begin to dream of the possibilities, if a real leader, with talent and intelligence were to take charge. Imagine such a thing? Let us hope and dream of just such a day.

I read the topic as being about "Thailand Tourism"

I can sort of see the relevance of filling the country with chinese casinos.

But how exactly does 90 day reporting have any significant effect on "Tourism" ??

If a Chinese tourist can afford to spend more than 90 days in a casino in Thailand I guess ...........

as good as he is, he would never become nominated by the democrat party because he was involved in serious corruption a long time ago.

I don't remember that.

How can Korn be Prime Minister material with a miniscule party behind him?

His brother supported the coup, what's Korn's stance on that?

Why doesn't he join Future Forward if he really wants to develop Thailand, or are they too radical for him?

Korn should be sharing a jail cell with Abhisit.

Finding an uncorrupt politician in Thailand is like finding a virgin in a girly bar...

I think that applies in almost any country.

Further, he won 2 prestigious international awards for his financial strategies when the dems were the gov't.

Too many people saying what they want to do, knowing it will never get done. Please report articles about what actually gets done after it get done. I'd rather read about massage girls getting busted by special forces because it's beliveable and we all know that the brown envelopes were a little light. By the way, don't the people in the photo know that there's a mask mandate in large close gatherings?

What's the point of taking a photo when you are masked. ????

90 days reporting cancellation and casino projects are 2 of the least concerns of voting Thais. Shoot himself on the foot like he did with the controversial fire sales of watered down 1997 assets. Plus he is perceived as arrogant, defensive and a bad listener.

Being 'Arrogant, Defensive and a Bad Listener' are all plus points for Thai Politicians !

Cancelling the 90 day report will not win him many votes from Thais as I am sure not many know about it

I'm sure if they had it explained to them, they would say that it is needed because foreigners are dangerous and immigration needs to keep an eye on them.
