Daily News Thai Caption: Two lives saved in the sea

A video published by Daily News showed the moments when two Myanmar men were plucked from the sea by an army patrol.

It happened in the waters near the maritime border between Thailand and its neighbor in Ranong.

A boat patrolling the border spotted that two Myanmar men had been tossed into the sea by heavy winds and swell in the area of Koh Saranee also known in Thai as Koh Phee - Ghost Island.

The men were taken in to recover from their ordeal and shock. They said they had been ferrying a consignment of fish from Koh Song in Myanmar to the market in Ranong on the Thai side.

They thanked the 25th Army region men for their help and were later taken back to their families across the border.

The Thais will be helping the men recover their boat when the seas calm.
