UK: WOKE RULES Fury as school says boys can wear skirts but not shorts in hot weather

PARENTS have slammed a new school rule saying boys can wear skirts but not shorts in hot weather. They say the woke attempt at a “gender neutral dress code” is “insane and discriminatory”.

 

Many mums and dads had wanted a summer uniform introduced at Wymondham High Academy in Norfolk.

 

And head Jonathan Rockey wrote on the state school’s website: “All pupils will have the choice to wear either a grey school skirt or grey school trousers (existing style).”

It reads to me like the school has simply restated what the exiting two uniform options are and will allow pupils can choose which option they want.

Seems like a stupid rule.

 

Irrespective of the Woke idiocy plaguing many areas of life, why not allow boys/girls to wear shorts? Why should a heterosexual boy be forced to wear a skirt in order to stay cool in a heat wave?

Skirts are much cooler than shorts and they also do not pinch your privates. Here in Thailand men wear the Pakama (not sure of the spelling) or a sarong. I wear them all the time and think they are great.

I really don't see any story here, it was voted by the parents themselves in a parental survey the school did.

Sorry your life has been so horrendous. My time in the US boys were boys and girls were girls. No one commented on gays all the way through high school. My navy days, yes I served my country, no one spoke much about gays. There was one cook who tried touching another's wee wee and got smacked up. 3 1/2 yrs aboard ship and we had one incident with a crew of 1200. Funny how this new generation of "woke" doesn't fit in.

We do know that many in the Navy were gay because we know they are now. So, either they weren't accepted or it was a case of don't tell. Your anecdotes of a golden era of gay free life in the navy only demonstrates the need to woke culture.

There were as many gay people around in your school and on your ship as there are now.

The 70's USNavy was far better. No women aboard ship to cause conflict, if you were gay they kept it to themselves and enjoyed themselves off the ship.
