Popular Post retiree Posted July 8, 2022 Popular Post Posted July 8, 2022 Made appointment on line well in advance, umpteenth extension. They now send a day-before reminder. Brought: -- appointment notice, -- simple Google map to home, signed, -- 1 4x6cm picture / taken at home against white(ish) wall, emailed to shop, they cleaned and printed, -- bank letter (day before, yes, this is ok), -- updated fixed-deposit bankbook for 800K method (most recent activity is the last quarterly interest post from April; yes, this is ok), -- signed copies of all bankbook pages, -- TM.7 form, -- passport plus signed copies of photo, visa, last extension, last entry stamp, entry form, -- receipt of 90-day notification (as done and mailed to me on line). signed of course, -- 1,900 baht. Ten minutes with IO, plus 25 minute wait for return of passport and bankbook. No questions, no problems. Procedure was slightly simpler this year -- no extra picture of me holding up signed forms, and no visit to supervisor desk for double-check. Btw, everybody entering CW has to fill out a short health/arrival info/etc form. These are collected but not read. Not very crowded. -- Retiree 5 2

Gaccha Posted July 8, 2022 Posted July 8, 2022 That's interesting. The reservation site lists the retirement extension as taking one hour. For my "expert" visa extension, the site states 15 minutes. I felt that was very optimistic. I was right. I attended a few days ago. My reservation let me jump the ticket queue. I simply walked up to the counter (around 10 minutes before my alloted time) and she started processing my extension. That jumped me in front of around 100 people. ...And it was 15 minutes. But then an extra hour for the supervisor's check. Nevertheless, this still makes it around 6-8 hours (!) quicker than the queue system. The Officer had a tick list of all reservations that day at her desk. This was around 30 people. Let's hope it keeps working. 1
Thingamabob Posted July 8, 2022 Posted July 8, 2022 6-8 hours ? Not in my case for nearly 40 years. In Sathorn previously and now Chaengwattana my applications, without an appointment, have never taken more than 4 hours, usually much less.

Seems they have lightened up on the hand drawn bit. My condo has a flyer with map on back. CW accept that.
