Siam Rath reported on the latest ban on the use of cannabis and hemp products at a state agency.

After Ministry of Health edicts about smoking of marijuana and annoyance from the smell as well as advice about the use of extracts and in food many state agencies and organizations have issued their own bans on government property and by employees.

Schools were one, police facilities another.

The latest comes from Jiraphat Phanthawee who is the secretary of the Office of the Court of Justice.

The ban will apply to members of the public or staff on all court premises and offices in Thailand.

Aaah ok,

so no courts, no schools, no police stations and no government offices.

Has anyone mentioned hospitals or are we still allowed to skin up in surgery.

Banned in government offices?

Damn. Does this mean I can't be hitting the bong during my visa extension process? Lucky I read this article.

The whole thing is in line with my wife's back-seat driving.

"Watch that motorbike darling", as if I would have tried to ram it if she wasn't there to remind me.

Do we really need to be constantly micro-managed throughout the whole cannabis decriminalization or can we just let common sense take over?

If it's a place/office where you would not drink alcohol, don't light up a joint.

Simples.

Sooner or later production will be clamped down on by requirements for huge capital in order to start/maintain a cannabis growing "business" (a la the brewing industry).

Bingo..... the Anutin family, and others in the cartel, get their monopoly.

Governments systemically and "endemically" rotten to the core.

There is no civil solution.

Common sense is a rare commodity in some establishments.

With the incomprehensible sentencing coming from the Thai courts, I think it's more than ganja those folks are taking.

Picture the scene as BMT sparks up while in a hospital ward:

Nurse: "Mr. BMT, put that out".

BMT: "Its medicinal, it's like my medicine, dude".

Nurse: "Yes Mr. BMT, but you're only visiting".
