Walking stick

Hi, does anyone know a shop in Pattaya preferably near Soi Buakhao that sells walking sticks ?, google only comes up with mobility scooter rental shops.  thanks in advance.

Have you checked bigger Pharmacies? For example the one in BIG C Extra?

 

Or Fascino, which also has a shop near Soi Buakhao on Pattaya Klang road!

Going for stylish or practical (retractable aluminum).  As mentioned, pharmacy for practical or any tourist / trinket shop will have wooden ones.

 

Of course there is always online, LAZ has more than a few available.

Did you visit one yet? In the UK they'd be classed as something like 'Mobility Centres', so selling various kinds of mobility aids like walking sticks, not just renting out the scooters. Here though, who knows, but it's worth having a look of there's one nearby, you could even ask there about where to buy a good walking stick.

Thanks for replies and I know i've left it too late to order from Laz, as I leave for Patts on Thursday 28th and no shops near me that sell them, so no I have not checked out anywhere in Pattaya, and will only be there a couple of nights, then on to BKK where i'll need to walk. Dam hip playing up.

Pop into a Boots or Watson's, should have the aluminum retractable at least.

In the basement of Central Festival on beach road there is a medical supply shop.

I remember having seen things like wheelchairs. Worth a look.

Boots and Watson's just a short walk away.

Decathlon have walking poles... it is near to the big Fascino shop too.

The best walking poles/sticks around here wash up on the beach. 2 meters bamboo and varnish.

Yes, although they need some form of handle at the top.

Depending on how sore your hip is, you might find the Al. folding sticks are too flexible, and won't feel secure. Go for stainless with the 3 feet. Much more secure. Of course a Zimmer frame is the ultimate.
