This week marks a milestone for the political changes in Thailand, as 2 political parties are set to be launched that are likely to be there to help 2014 coup leader Prayut Chan-ocha return to power.

The 1st party launched today was Ruam Phaen Din, which is the reincarnation of Palang Chart Thai Party, a party that has 1 Member in the parliament (MP) after it managed to secure 71,000 votes during the 2019 general elections.

General Wit Devahastin na Ayudhya, a former leader of the Settakij Thai Party and a close aide of Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon, is now set to be the leader of Ruam Phaen Din party.

|Would these parties have been formed had Prayut and co not amended the law to change the party list allocation?

Probably not!

I still think he'll need some last minute party dissolutions in order to retain power but of course that is entirely possible.

I hope it will not come so far.. In the last months there were examples how to get rid of people as in Sri Lanka and other asian countries... We have to get rid of him because if he stays in power and the incompetent Government the country will be bankrupted and destroyed.. They have showed already they can't rid of him with censr debates and now he is already preparing for a new term. I hope that Constitution Court decide he had his time done, but the judges never decide against him...

Only political parties and affiliations that are seeped in tradition need apply.

Anything that doesn't rigidly follow the exclusive Boys Club design and decorum are most certainly dismissed and dissolved.

Democracy Thai.
