Famous Thai comedian on the scene as top brass investigate theft/attempted rape at salon

INN reported that famous Thai comedian Mum Jokmok was on the scene at a beauty salon in Nonthaburi owned by a girlfriend where there was a robbery and attempted rape. 

 

The salon is in Plai Bang sub-district.

 

The robbery on Tuesday was described as brazen and police were determined to catch the person responsible for it as fast as possible as he was a danger to society.

 

Nonthaburi police chief Phaisan Wongwatcharamongkhol said that the Plai Bang police know the identity of the man and were seeking a court warrant for his arrest yesterday on a charge of robbery.

 

Police were studying CCTV and forensics officers were at the scene.

 

The appearance of Mum Jokmok was the main interest for INN.

 

Also known as Petchtai Wongkamlao - Mum Jokmok is one of the most recognizable celebrities in Thailand.

 

The 57 year old hails from Yasothon and is a film director and actor as well as a top comedian. 

 

The owner of the salon is a singer in his group of stars.

Update: Man arrested within 24 hours after robbery and attempted rape at salon of "Mum" associate

 

 

Thai Rath reported that great work by the Region 1 police resulted in the arrest of a man less than 24 hours after a robbery and attempted rape at a salon run by an employee of famous Thai comedian Mum Jokmok.

 

The case involved robbery and attempted rape of Nongluck Moonsri, 45, the owner of Nongluck Salon in Bang Kruay, Nonthaburi, at 8pm on Tuesday.

 

The thief got away with a diamond ring, a phone and 150 baht in cash.

 

The victim was able to identify Chaichet Saduakdee, 35, as the assailant, a man from Singburi.

 

At 6pm yesterday Region 1 police managed to arrest the suspect in Lat Lum Kaew district of Pathum Thani north of the Thai capital Bangkok. 

 

He was fleeing in a car.

 

He was taken to Bang Bua Thong police station for questioning.

Love their show and his co-stars. Always hilarious, even for non Thais and non Thai speakers. Doesn't seem to be on right now. Thai humour - love it!
