You can change Windows to display most web sites in dark mode and works fine here - have been using for last several years - have yellow text on black background so easy to read.

Windows 10/Start/Settings/Personalization/Background/Related settings (Right side of screen)/High Contrast(on)/High Contrast #1

Alt+Left Shift+Print Screen will toggle it on/off

Looks like this.

There have been enough problems over the years after the "Techies" do routine updates on this website and  more than enough day to day glitches!

Please do not ask for any unwanted/unnecessary changes!

Is it really necessary that each and every website should have its own button to toggle between light and dark mode?

Is it not sufficient that the web browser offers this function or, as lopburi3 mentioned above, the computer's operating system?

Are they really unwanted/unnecessary?

If so why is nearly every popular website or OS now include them.

But yeah, the amount of updates probably makes it more of a challenge

Saves battery, helps the environment

The browser extensions aren’t as good as a well designed web page

I have just tried a couple with both Chrome and Brave browsers... none are much good compared with the OS personalization as lopburi3 has mentioned.

A dark theme for the forum would certainly be easier on the eyes.
