Pattaya to Koh Chang tourist bus

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm trying to book a tourist bus from Pattaya to Koh Chang on a Tuesday in October. What appears to be a decent operator does not travel on that day of the week and the operator listed on 12go.asia says it does, but seems to be unreliable.

Does anyone have any tips for booking, such as a good physical travel agent based in Pattaya that I can e-mail to book then pay locally a couple of days before travel? I'm on a tight schedule so don't want to risk having to stay an additional day.

Really appreciate any advice.

I'm looking for the shared bus, preferably the one that picks up and drops off at the hotel on either end.

There used to be a specialist agent on Soi Post Office for Koh Chang excursions.... minibus, ferry and hotel booking all done.  But I always preferred to do things in person, email doesn't seem to work well.

There is minivan service to Chantaburi behind Numchai on Sukumvit rd near Soi Siam Country Club. Leaces 10am each morning. From Chantaburi plenty of options for KC. The vans had a bad reputation years ago but these days seem a lot safer with the drivers laying off the yabba. For a big bus I would try Boonsiri ferry company.

i took my kids to KC a couple of years ago minibus jomtien beach road booked return trip ..no probs they were there to meet us  many of the agents do bus trips from Jomtiem don't know to much about the Pattaya ones

Thanks for your reply. I'm a lazy git so I prefer to have a door to door transfer, but this is good to know as a back up option.

Just what I was looking for. Managed to contact the agent and they confirmed that there is not a bus on Tuesday. Thanks for your advice.
