webfact Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 Picture: Siam Rath Siam Rath reported on posts and videos uploaded to the site of Muang Prakan v2 after yesterday's extraordinary storm in Bangkok and surrounding areas. In what many described as a hellish storm the sky turned black in the early morning - instead of daybreak it was more like the time after sunset. In the area of the Praeksa municipal dump in the Praeksa Mai area of Samut Prakan thousands of birds of all varieties took to the skies for several minutes before settling on trees and bushes. After the storm as the skies cleared they returned to their scavenging activities at the dump. Locals said in years of the birds being there they had never seen the like of it. Thai media has reported many different angles after Bangkokians woke to extraordinary sights in the skies over the Thai capital. One scientist said it was a clear sign of climate change - and things would only get worse. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2022-08-30 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Thingamabob Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 Yes, there were dark clouds over Bangkok yesterday, and it rained a bit. However I walked to and from my local shopping centre near Ratchayothin and, heroically, survived.
